Elena is a character from Capcom's Street Fighter series who first appeared in Street Fighter III: Third Strike and makes her appearance in Street Fighter X Tekken as a DLC character.
Biography[]
Elena is a princess of a Kenyan tribe that has a cultural tradition of fighting. Her father, chief of the region, is a traditional healer who also qualified in France for a doctorate degree in medicine.
She is able to hear and comprehend various rhythms as well as the voices of the wind and trees.
Appearance[]
Elena is uncommonly tall for a female (and is the tallest female Street Fighter character who has appeared in the series at 6 feet tall) and has dark skin, short silvery-white hair and blue eyes. She is barefoot while fighting and has long, powerful legs with somewhat big feet. Her attire consists of a white two-piece bikini-like outfit with pale red, sky-blue, gold and purple bands on her neck, arms, wrists, shins, and ankles.
Personality[]
Elena is a young girl with a strong, pure spirit and a cheerful "tomboy" personality similar to Sakura and Ibuki, as she is normally seen smiling or laughing sweetly. While very energetic and golden-hearted, she is also smart, sociable, and culture-adaptative, always eager to learn more about the world, which is part of the reason for her travels.

- Christie has some similar traits to Elena, they are both female fighters who use Capoeira as their fighting style and both women have a similar fighting stance. Christie can also be customized to resemble Elena in Tekken 6.
- In Elena's rival battle with Christie and Lei, Christie appears to be shocked when Elena demonstrates her Capoeira moves before agreeing to spar with her. Between the two of them, Elena has the faster kicks in their Super Arts - "Brave Dance" for Elena and "Wheel Kicks Sao Paulo Special" for Christie.
- Because of their similarity, YouTube user Xykes made a video requesting that Elena and Christie be included in Street Fighter x Tekken together, dubbing them "Team Milk Chocolate." Yoshinori Ono saw the video and retweeted it.[1]
- Elena's prologue mentions a sacred tree. This is likely a reference to a manga adaptation of Street Fighter III (called Street Fighter III: Ryu Final), where Ryu briefly communicates with Elena via a sacred tree after being temporarily knocked out by Dudley. Dudley just so happens to be Elena's partner in this game.
